Education is the most powerful weapon art

Letter from the Principal

Sara Garcia, Principal

Welcome back to Ombudsman Northeast Charter High School!

My name is Sara Garcia and the entire staff and I are eager to start up year number three in our Tempe location.

I am an Arizona native and graduate of Marcos de Niza High School, where my mother taught proudly for more than 30 years. I went on to receive my B.A. from ASU and my teaching certification from Rio Salado.

I have 17 of experience teaching in Arizona, seven at the high school level.  In 1999, I started as a teacher for the IES Language Foundation and was promoted to Program Director during my first year, and, State Director in my second. I taught for two years at the Crittenton Youth Academy and then came to Ombudsman in 2007. I taught for one year at Charter East and became the Center Director in my second year. My nine years at Charter East were incredibly fulfilling both personally and professionally, and I look forward to staring my second year at Charter Northeast.

We look forward to continued growth and improvement in our third year and, as always, thank you for your support.

Sara Garcia, Principal
