Our classrooms tend to be smaller than a traditional high school and while in school, students are immersed in a blended learning environment. What this means is that for their English and Math classes students will be in a traditional teacher-led classroom, similar to what you see in a traditional high school. For the rest of the time, students are in a lab environment working at their own pace through the rest of the classes. In the labs, there is a teacher to provide one-on-one support.
Students attend school for four hours a day Monday-Friday. You’ll have the option to attend our morning or afternoon session.
For those students who cannot attend regularly, we have the OMB Online Academy which provides greater schedule flexibility.

Principal's Letter
Dear Charter East II Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!
My name Lisa Thomas, Principal of Ombudsman Charter East II, and I would like to welcome you to the new academic year; a year in which your student’s success is most important.
The Charter East II staff believe that all students deserve the best education possible, and that all students can succeed. We are deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our students. We will continue to set high expectations for attendance, academic standards, communication and accountability. Our goal is to have each student graduate prepared to achieve their dreams.
This year our students will be introduced to Edmentum, our new computer program. Edmentum has powerful learning solutions that blend technology with individual teaching approaches. As with our previous program, students will utilize Edmentum for Science, Social Studies, and Electives classes, as well as some English and Math activities. Additionally, students will be able to display their learning through Microsoft applications such as Wakelets, Sways, Power Point presentations and another new program this year, Book Creator. Student lessons will continue to be creative and engaging.
Please feel free to contact us with your questions or concerns and to check on your student’s progress. We look forward to working with you to ensure that your student has a great learning experience here at Charter East II.
Sincerely,
Ms. Lisa F. Thomas
Principal, Charter East II
