Our classrooms tend to be smaller than a traditional high school and while in school, students are immersed in a blended learning environment. What this means is that for their English and Math classes students will be in a traditional teacher-led classroom, similar to what you see in a traditional high school. For the rest of the time, students are in a lab environment working at their own pace through the rest of the classes. In the labs, there is a teacher to provide one-on-one support.
Students attend school for four hours a day Monday-Friday. You’ll have the option to attend our morning or afternoon session.
For those students who cannot attend regularly, we have the OMB Online Academy which provides greater schedule flexibility.

My name is Tami DiMascio, and I am the Principal of Ombudsman Charter Northwest High School. Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! This year will be full of collaboration, cross-curricular fun, engaging activities, and strong mentoring connections between our students and staff. I bring over 25 years of leadership, teaching, and social work experience to this campus. I believe that every student has the potential to graduate given the appropriate support system is created around them. I also believe that school should be a safe place where students are able to reach their full potential and learn to navigate the challenges that the transitional adolescent and young adult years bring!
Here at Charter Northwest, we have a dedicated, compassionate, and versatile team who are all passionate about helping students reach their goal of graduation. As a team we are deeply committed to meet each student where they are at and create individualized plans for students to complete courses, increase attendance, and work on building strong executive functioning skills and 21st Century Learning skills. We work collaboratively to meet high expectations and create healthy habits for life-long success. At Charter Northwest we understand that mistakes happen and the how we bounce back and learn from those mistakes is what will create a strong pathway for our future.
We support our students with a strong mentoring program, a hybrid vision of curriculum delivery, use of Microsoft technology, and the exciting new addition of our Edmentum curriculum. We offer career pathway certification programs and work study options. Charter Northwest is a Microsoft Showcase School!
Communication is essential in ensuring we keep students on track for graduation. I believe that partnering with our community, families and student support systems is a key element in education. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly. I look forward to serving our families, community members, and students by creating a rich learning environment for the 2023-2024 school year.
