Ombudsman campuses around the country are embracing the giving spirit this holiday season. While our Ombudsman staff and educators get to witness our students do great things every day of the year, we want to make sure to recognize and share some of the extra special and selfless efforts our students have put forth this holiday season.
Ombudsman Arizona Charter Metro JAG students Volunteer at St. Mary’s Food Bank
Students of Ombudsman Arizona Charter Metro, who are a part of the JAG program, volunteered at Phoenix’s St. Mary’s Food Bank to help serve over 1,000 families in need. These students helped bag donated food items at the food bank and loaded them into the vehicles of the families in need. Way to go, Ombudsman Arizona Charter Metro!

Ombudsman Lafayette, GA Students Collect Donations for The Cottage
Our Ombudsman center in Lafayette, GA made chose to give their time and resources in support The Cottage – a teen foster home in the local community. The Cottage had sent a newsletter to Ombudsman with a list of items needed for the facility, which was included in our own newsletter going home to Ombudsman families.
In response, students started bringing in bags full of donation items. In total, over 250 Donation items were collected! The Cottage staff was so happy when they saw the van full of donations pull up, and appreciated our students unloading the goods for them.
As a thank you to our students for their kindness, we’d planned to have a celebration for them. Instead, they voted to use the party funds towards MORE donation items for The Cottage! We are truly inspired by the kindness and selflessness shown by our students in Lafayette.
