Testimonials
As a senior we were asked to do a credit analysis, this made me realize how far behind I was. I started to resent school and become extremely unmotivated. I began putting more into work than school. That is when my sister, former attendee of Ombudsman Northwest, introduced me to the school. A lot went in to me graduating! Personally, I had little faith I’d finish this year. Even my dad would tell me I was not. The incredible staff of the Northwest campus drilled into my head that I would complete this. I have never met a staff so caring and invest not in our lives academically, but also personally.
In the middle of my sophomore year, I transferred here at Ombudsman Northwest where I finished the rest of my classes. Finishing high school was a hard journey for me and I feel like some of the people that helped make it a little easier every day were all the teachers that sat with me and never gave up or turned their backs on me. They helped me even on the days where I doubted myself and worked hard to get me through my classes.

Principal's Letter
Hello and welcome to Ombudsman Charter Northwest High School, where every student’s journey matters!
My name is Tami DiMascio, and I am the Principal of Ombudsman Charter Northwest High School. I am excited for the 2025-2026 school year! As the leader of this campus, I have over 28 years of leadership, teaching, and social work experience. This year will be full of collaboration, cross-curricular fun, engaging activities, and strong mentoring connections between our students and staff. Did I mention that we have refreshed our technology with all new student laptops and new internet infrastructure? As a Microsoft Showcase School, we are always looking at ways to enhance the use of technology in education to better prepare our students for the technology of the future.
Here at Charter Northwest, we have a dedicated, compassionate, and versatile team who are all passionate about helping students reach their goal of graduation. We believe in new beginnings and second chances. Our campus serves students from diverse backgrounds- many of whom have faced significant personal, academic, or social challenges- and we meet them with compassion, high expectations, and a relentless commitment to their success. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel seen, heard, and valued. We recognize that traditional schools don’t always work for every learner, and we are proud to offer a flexible, student-centered approach that honors individual strengths while addressing unique needs. At Charter Northwest we understand that mistakes happen, and how we bounce back and learn from those mistakes is what will create a strong pathway for our future.
We support our students with a strong mentoring program, a hybrid method of curriculum delivery, and use of flexible scheduling and hybrid pathways. We offer career pathway certification programs and work study options. Check out the night school session along with the two daytime sessions we offer students at the Charter Northwest location! Whether you are returning to school after an extended absence, working to recover credits, working to graduate early, or seeking a more personalized path toward graduation and beyond, we are here to help you grow and succeed.
Thank you for visiting our website and I invite you to reach out, take a tour, and connect with us directly. Together, we can help every student write the next chapter of their story with confidence, purpose, and hope.
Warm regards,
Tami DiMascio MSW, M.Ed.
